We hope this message finds you well. We wanted to take a moment to address the recent lawsuits involving the National Association of Realtors (NAR) to ensure transparency and clarity as there’s both accurate and wildly inaccurate information floating around out there.
First of all, we’d like to thank all of you for the wonderful relationships that we’ve built & will continue to build moving forwards. We understand that news of these lawsuits may raise questions or concerns about our industry as a whole but also how they could potentially impact our services locally as we’ve begun to receive calls and questions related to this news. We want to assure you that home prices aren’t suddenly going to crater, Zillow isn’t going to explode, and in the short-term not much will change. Though change and uncertainty can be a bit scary, it’s our belief that these changes will take some time to develop and hopefully in the long-term be extremely positive. In fact, when all the smoke clears, we’re likely to adopt and develop practices that other markets outside of Florida have already been using and will continue to use.
